Company Overview
Morgan Stanley Huaxin Securities is Morgan Stanley’s investment banking platform in mainland China, providing A-share investment banking services for its Chinese and global clients. As a joint venture between Morgan Stanley and Huaxin Securities, the company is headquartered in Shanghai with two offices in Beijing and Shenzhen. Its businesses include equity financing and sponsorship, debt financing, M&A and financial advisory. Morgan Stanley has recently received approval from the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) to take a majority stake in Morgan Stanley Huaxin Securities. Upon completion, the Firm will have increased its holding from 49% to 51%.

Positions & Qualifications

The 2020 Summer Intern Program of Morgan Stanley Huaxin Securities is ideal for outstanding university and MBA students who are interested in securities management and consider a career in financial industry after graduation. This program is planned to be conducted from June 2020 to August 2020.
We are offering the following positions for candidates.

Investment Banking Divison　

2020 Summer Analyst -
Investment Banking Division
【Shanghai / Beijing / Shenzhen, China】

Responsibilities
The challenging assignments vary depending on project placement, but typically include:
Analyzing financial and operating information related to corporations and industries
Creating statistical exhibits that analyze comparative financial performance
Assisting in the preparation of pitchbooks and market updates
Participating actively in transaction executions (including but not limited to IPOs, private placements, bond offerings and M&As). Tasks may include due diligence, documentation, roadshow arrangement and deal settlement
Performing researches on latest product developments and potential business opportunities

Requirements
University student in penultimate year of study with outstanding academic records.
Applicants should be graduated by June 2021
Finance or business related major is preferred but not a must
Fluent in Mandarin and English, both verbal and written
Team player with strong sense of responsibility and work ethics
Strong analytical skills
Able to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
Basic know-how of A-share capital market
Skilled in using MS Office; in using other database such as Wind/Bloomberg is a plus

Global Capital Markets

2020 Summer Analyst -
Global Capital Markets
【Shanghai / Beijing, China】

Responsibilities
Collect and analyze macro, industry and equity market data
Study and understand rules and regulations related to different equity and debt products
Assist in preparing pitchbooks for client meetings
Prepare regular equity market updates
Participate in live executions including IPO, private placement, CB&EB transactions and bonds, structured products, preferred stocks, etc.

Requirements
Undergraduate or graduate students with outstanding academic records
Applicants to graduate by June 2021 would be preferred
A genuine interest and understanding of capital markets
Native speaker in Mandarin and fluent in written and spoken English Team player with strong sense of responsibility and attention to details
Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Wind and Office/Bloomberg is a plus
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to conduct independent research and write reports

Middle and Back Offices

We are also offering internships in some middle and back offices, including Research, Compliance, Quality Control, Legal, Operations, Public Relations, Human Resources, Finance, IT and Internal Audit.
